I remember when I started my first blog. Although I had no idea if it would ever be successful, I treated it like a business from the very first day it went live. I put in the work and consistently shared content, trusting that everything would work out for me. You should do the same.
It doesn’t matter if you aren’t currently making money, this is still going to be your business one day and you should treat it as such. Take it seriously and put in the required effort to generate real results.
2. They listen to their target audience.
When you create content for your blog or social media, are you actively thinking about your audience and what they’d be interested in? If not, then you need to make a change! This is one of those habits of successful coaches that you cannot skip over.
You always want to create with them in mind so you can be sure your content is valuable and addressing their needs. Consider what their biggest pain points are. Is your content helping to resolve those issues? It should be! Great coaches take the time to better understand their audience so they can serve them the best way possible.
3. They show up and post consistently.
No, you don’t need to be blogging five days a week in order to be successful. But you do need to develop a content strategy that will allow you to regularly show up for your business and deliver quality work. Step into your confident side and put yourself out there so people can get to know you and what you’re all about.

By having goals in mind, you’ll always know what you’re working toward. Then, you can work backwards to create a plan of attack to help you get from where you are now to where you want to be. And don’t just set business goals. Set personal goals too.

My biggest pet peeve? Brands that flat out ignore their audience. You see it time and time again, especially on social media. People tag brands, asking questions, only to never receive a response. That’s not a good look!

Listen, there is a time and a place for the hardcore hustle, but it’s not 24/7! Your mind and body need time to rest and recharge, so it’s crucial that you’re listening to how you feel and respecting that. And this is actually one of my favorite habits of successful coaches because I’m all about building a business that feels good.
Set designated office hours for yourself so you know when to start and stop working each day. And once you shut down that laptop, do something for yourself. Cleanse your energy after a long day of coaching calls and unwind with something that’s not business-related.
9. They don’t compare themselves to others.
It’s easy to look around the web and see someone who is “doing better” than you are. No matter what, there will always be someone who has more followers than you and makes more money than you. But at the end of the day, those things don’t matter.
Great coaches know that what does matter is that they’re happy and fulfilled. They focus on the road ahead of them so they can go after what they want, while also sending love to those who would be considered “competitors.” Because if the success they’ve achieved is merely a reminder that it’s possible for you too.

Any failures that arise are seen as learning opportunities. And they don’t allow themselves to be discouraged if something goes wrong. They just keep moving.
